Support His/Her Education program

Through the Support His or Her Education program, we aim to provide mentorship, school uniforms, and supplies for children in rural communities. We believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background. By supporting education, we empower children to break the cycle of poverty and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Supporting His/Her Education Program

At SHE 4 Change Foundation, we are dedicated to breaking down the barriers to education, particularly for girls in rural communities. Globally, 130 million girls are not enrolled in school, with poverty being the primary obstacle they face in accessing education.

Our Support His/Her Education Program aims to provide comprehensive support to children in rural Ghana, Africa. Here are some key initiatives we undertake:

1. SHEdu Pack: We distribute essential school supplies, including uniforms, textbooks, notebooks, pencils, and backpacks, to students in rural communities who cannot afford them. By providing these resources, we ensure that children have the necessary tools to engage fully in their education.

2. Digital Literacy Skills: At SHE 4 Change Foundation, we understand that in today’s rapidly evolving world, digital literacy is a vital skill that can empower individuals to succeed in various aspects of their lives. As part of our comprehensive Education Support Program, we are dedicated to equipping our beneficiaries with essential digital literacy skills that can enhance their educational journey and open doors to new opportunities through partnerships.

Our program recognizes the importance of digital skills in accessing information, communicating effectively, and navigating online platforms. We provide tailored training sessions that cover a range of digital literacy topics, including basic computer operations, internet usage, email communication, online research, and the use of productivity tools such as word processing and spreadsheet software.

3. SHE Hygiene Pack: We provide menstrual hygiene kits and a comprehensive Menstrual Guide Book, aiming to eliminate menstrual poverty and ensure that girls can attend school without interruption.

4. Ask a Big Sis/Bro Mentorship program: We establish a mentorship program that connects students with professionals in their field of interest. Through this program, students receive guidance and advice on career development, empowering them to make informed choices about their future.

5. Scholarships: We offer scholarships to deserving students from rural communities, enabling them to access quality education at the primary, and secondary levels. These scholarships cover school fees, textbooks, and other educational expenses.

6. School infrastructure: We invest in building and renovating school infrastructure, including classrooms, libraries, laboratories, and playgrounds. By creating a conducive learning environment, we enhance the educational experience for students and promote their academic success.

7. Technology and connectivity: We provide access to technology and internet connectivity, such as laptops and tablets, to children in rural communities. This allows them to access online educational resources, develop digital literacy skills, and prepare for the digital economy.

8. Tutoring and mentoring: We provide tutoring and mentoring programs to support children who may be struggling academically. These programs offer academic assistance and guidance, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed.

9. Parental engagement: We actively engage parents and guardians in rural communities, providing them with resources and support to actively participate in their children’s education. By involving parents, we create a collaborative environment that fosters academic success.

10. Community outreach: We conduct community outreach programs that emphasize the value of education and encourage students to pursue their academic goals. These programs especially focus on empowering girls who may face social and cultural barriers to education.

11. Partnerships with schools and institutions: We collaborate with schools and educational institutions to provide internships, apprenticeships, and job shadowing opportunities. By facilitating practical experiences and exposure to different career paths, we prepare students for the workforce.

Through our Support His/Her Education Program, we are committed to equipping children in rural communities with the necessary resources, opportunities, and support to thrive academically. By empowering these young individuals, we believe they can overcome barriers, achieve their full potential, and contribute to building a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
